Customer reviews

What customers said after the visit

Rated 4.8 out of 5 from 67 customer reviews. Below are the most recent for each kind of work we do, printed in full, including the ones that are less than glowing.

A kitchen seen past the edge of a built-in refrigerator: a range, glazed cabinets and a technician kneeling at the far wall.
Written by owners on this coast, after the visit each one describes.

How to read these

Each one describes a single visit: what failed, what was measured, what was changed and how the call ended. They are printed in the words they were given to us, under a first name and a last initial, and the ones that are less than glowing are printed too. A wall of nothing but top marks tells a reader nothing, and a van that has never had a part arrive wrong or a second visit go out is a van nobody has ever used.

This page shows the most recent few for each kind of work rather than the whole file, because a page of sixty is a page nobody finishes. The rest sit on the service and area pages they describe, beside the fault and the village they belong to. The figure below counts all of them.

Nothing below quotes a figure. What a visit costs belongs on the pricing page, where it can be checked against the invoice, and what happens afterwards belongs on the warranty page. If a review describes what your own cabinet is doing, the page for that service explains how the fault is diagnosed.

Where they came from

Sub-Zero refrigeration in Ponte Vedra Beach and the rest of St. Johns County — built-in cabinets, integrated columns, undercounter and outdoor units, wine storage and ice machines.

The most recent for each kind of work

  • The freezer column had begun chiming at the same hour every night. He sat through a whole defrost with a meter on the heater circuit rather than guessing, found a sensor reading late, and changed that alone.

    Ambrose K.2026-09-20

  • The crisper drawers had frozen everything in them while the top shelves read normally. He found a temperature sensor hanging loose behind the liner, refitted and recalibrated it, and both compartments settled inside a day.

    Callum P.2026-09-16

  • We came back from months away to a warm cabinet and a smell we could not place. He cleared the drain trough, replaced a check valve that had perished, and showed us how to leave the unit if the house sits empty again.

    Delphine R.2026-09-09

  • The machine was only making ice overnight. He found the inlet screen half blocked and the supply valve barely opening, and changed both. It works well now, though I had to chase twice before the parts arrived.

    Emmett S.2026-09-02

  • Harvest kept stalling with the slab still stuck to the plate. He descaled the circuit, found the harvest valve not opening fully and changed it, then stayed for two complete cycles before calling the job done.

    Fiona T.2026-08-26

  • Our ice tasted of the bin however often we emptied it. He replaced a length of soft tubing that had gone furry inside, sanitised the reservoir, and fitted a proper inline filter where there had never been one.

    Gideon V.2026-08-19

  • The refrigerator column was running far longer than its twin beside it. He compared readings from both cabinets, found the door on the long one sitting a fraction proud, and reset the hinge stack until the gap matched.

    Harriet W.2026-08-05

  • The fresh food side sat at fifty two while the freezer held fine. He found the evaporator fan motor stalled behind a wall of frost and replaced it, then cleared the drain tube that had caused the ice.

    Marla T.2026-07-28

  • Both columns had been sluggish since we lost power for four days. He read the stored settings out of each one, found values that had reverted rather than a failed part, and set them back properly with nothing replaced.

    Isolde B.2026-07-21

  • The cabinet by the pool had stopped holding through the afternoon. He cleaned and treated a badly corroded fin pack and it is much better, though he was clear it will want doing again sooner than we would like.

    Cormac E.2026-07-15

  • The unit in our summer kitchen lost several degrees every afternoon and recovered overnight. He opened up a fin pack we had thought was clean, treated the corrosion behind it, and it holds right through the day now.

    Katrin D.2026-06-23

  • Salt had seized a hinge pin on the outdoor drawers and the door was dragging on the frame. He freed and replaced the hardware and it closes squarely again. The staining on the stainless is still there, which he did warn us about.

    Leopold F.2026-06-16

  • Our drawer unit was sweating along the top edge and smelled musty inside. He found a gasket squashed out of shape at one corner, replaced it, and checked the drawer was closing square before he left.

    Dagmar R.2026-05-29

  • Both compartments had been creeping warmer for a month. He ruled out airflow and defrost first, with the readings written down, then located a loss on the evaporator return and rebuilt that joint instead of topping it up.

    Niall J.2026-05-15

  • Somebody else had put gas in it twice and it kept warming again. He recovered what was left, pressure tested the circuit overnight, found the loss down at the condenser end, and repaired and evacuated it properly.

    Orla K.2026-04-30

  • He told us plainly that the sealed system on a cabinet this old was still worth repairing, and why, before a single part was ordered. The work took an afternoon and the temperatures have not moved since.

    Pascal L.2026-04-16

  • Our beverage cabinet pulled down overnight and lost ground all day in the island. He measured the air coming off the vent, reopened a toe kick the joiners had closed up, and the run time dropped by half.

    Rhiannon M.2026-04-02

  • The drawer unit is cold again and the runners no longer catch on the way in. It took longer than I expected to get a date in the book, and nobody rang to say the first part had been sent through wrong.

    Soren N.2026-03-19

  • Our wine cabinet was swinging a few degrees either side of its setting. He changed a sensor and it has been steady since. I would have liked more on what caused it rather than simply being told it was fixed.

    Verity S.2026-02-19

  • Labels were lifting at the corners and the racks felt dry to the hand. He showed me humidity readings taken over a settled cycle, replaced a door seal flattened along the bottom, and the cabinet holds moisture properly now.

    Wendell T.2026-02-05

  • After a week away we found the wine cabinet reading nine degrees high with no alarm showing. He found the control had lost its calibration rather than a part having failed, reset both zones, and left it logging overnight.
